This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit selonija.lv, selonija.com and its related subdomains (the “Site”).
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Profile Information that we collect to reflect on our shared history as members of the academic lifetime fraternity Selonija. Each member can access and update their name, email, address, profile photo, education, work status and similar as well records of key lifetime events, dates, quotes, photos, videos and similar.
We may use this information to send reminders of birthdays, and anniversaries and contact you to participate in the community events such as lectures, commemorative days, excursions and other related events.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential security risks and spam protection (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our members browse and interact with the Site).
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with third parties only when strictly necessary to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our members use the Site – you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics.
During Log In procedure, eligble users may use third party account authentication feature commonly reffered as OAauth login. During this procedure, a third party site securely shares with us your identification that we use to match against our records (name and email). After Log In procedure completes, we DO NOT store any access tokens to your accont at the third party site. One of such services is provided by Google.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
DO NOT TRACK
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. Additionally, we note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to the Australia and United States (i.e. outgoing email transit services, uptime resiliency and similar use cases).
DATA RETENTION
We store all data at rest in Europe, except where it is required to ensure data backups and redundancy. When you contribute your information (by direct or indirect means), we will store it as long as necessary, unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
MINORS
To join our community, members must be at least first-year academic students - at which point everyone is at least of legal age in Latvia.
In the sole context of that, we assume that the Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.
CHANGES
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
